Introduction

Once upon a time, a forest ranger’s croft was built on the grounds of the Rosenlew companies. The cottage and its outbuildings were erected on the shores of the Sääjärvi lake, in the middle of the most beautiful Tavastian nature, in 1923. That’s when the gentry came on their own railroad tracks to hunt game. The current forest road follows the old track.

As the name implies, the Forester’s Estate is located deep in the woods. On your way, you’ll notice how the settlement fades away and nature takes over your mind. Finally you’ll see a red cottage and you’re there – Enjoy the peace and quiet!
